Toxic Stress and Resiliency
Description
One of the biggest threats to young children's health today is exposure to toxic stress in early childhood. Toxic stress involves the experience of traumatic events in the absence of protective factors, particularly supportive and loving relationships with parents and other adults in the child's life. Toxic stress disrupts healthy brain development, which can lead to increased physical and mental illness. This training will show the potential impact of toxic stress and present what the early childhood community can do.
