Promoting Acceptance of Diversity
Description
This is a "hands-on training" that will provide you with of an Overview of the Importance of Diversity and how to incorporate it into your classroom. Information is taken from a variety of sources including the Environment Rating Scales, internationally recognized tools to assess and help improve the quality of child care programs. We will do activities, play games and sing songs as we learn. Each provider will take home a variety of books, props and pictures that they can immediately add to enhance their environment. This class will help you guide the children in your program to see the world through a lens of respect, sensitivity, value and appreciation for others in their world.
